And now we're all sick minus Kody and DerRick. Yeah..the boys too. All this madness is hitting us like a ton of bricks. The girls aren't used to being exposed to germies and I got sick over the weekend. I usually get sick when I go out of town but I was hoping the boys would be spared. Anyhoo..I better go. I hope you guys had a great Halloween and got lots of candy ^_^ See you soon and be safe.

He did ok he just was super sleepy and a little soar. We are able to treat his condition that they found. His stomach acid is irritating something and that something gets inflamed. (again, not one for medical jargon :)So yes, we are so glad it wasn't something else. We really appreciate all your kind words. So thank you :)

Today is a day to be thankful and it's also Thursday release day over at The Digichicks! I have two small kits in my shop that I might sincerely get addicted to. I know I'm going to use these suckers all the time!

These are word stickers that I hand wrote. I love them because they can go on any page. I used them in this post here. I added some funky drop shadows to them that made the stickers look all wonky lol! It's amazing what a drop shadow can do let me tell ya...So yeah, I hope you all enjoy these :) Remember they're 20 % off today-all day!

Speaking of creating...I've been thinking long and hard about where I'm going with my designs. I've decided to change up my shop a bit so that I can focus on each kit that I make. I'm not going to make full kits anymore. Meaning ones with tons of things in them. With the way my everyday dynamic is; it would be stretching the kits thin. Do I make sense? I've decided to focus more on elements and papers. I'm super exited about this because I think it will make each kit better and there will be more releases as well. I'm even thinking o changing my logo. Not the almighty 'K' of course lol! But I've just been playing around with the thought of making a permanent change because I'm always changing the color and all that so I figured I should leave all the fickle indecisiveness to the blog ^_^ Brainstorming and trying things out are what I've been up to lately.

 

  

Sketching paper designs has been super fun. I'm playing around with new ways of putting my papers together. Tried a itty-bitty-mini and it was a disaster! There was no "make it work" solution going on here lol! I tried a little shortcut and found that sometimes shortcuts are not the best way to get things done. This book was suppose to be for OLW (late again, yes I know :) so I'm going to start over.

hmmm...not really much else to say other than my boys are wanting me right there with them. Lately, if I get up I'm going to hear about it. It's been like that for a couple days now. So as I'm typing I have Chris laying next to me, the computer on my lap and Kayson is asleep on the other couch. I'm cooing and cawing Chris every 10 secs or so. Pacifying him with my voice. My Wacom pen is stuck in my hair like a hair pin. That way I can grab it when I need it and not reach to get it. O man...It's a site to see but I'm getting this post done hu?

And actually; I'm done now so I'll be back in a flash!,

chris, cards + a tip

 Hey guys. I just saw DerRick and Chris drive off for the hospital. Chris has to have a simple procedure but it still frightens me. I wish I could go but no. We would have had to get there by 8 am and it would not begin until 10. The kids would not last that long at the doctors. So yeah, I think this is best anyway. I'm not sure how I would do you know what I mean? That's just been on my mind all the time for the past couple of days. I just hope everything goes ok and they don't find anything else.

On a more light and crafty note...Last Wednesday I posted my tip up over at One Little Word. I showed how to make a simple Peek-A-Boo card.

I made a card using punches for the effect.

  

 


I used postage stamp punches from Martha Stewart to achieve the Peek-a-Boo effect. I lined it with a transparency to that I can stick elements in the windows yet be able to see inside. That layer is on top of fabric which has the three openings cut as well.The card is closed. Sewn all the way around the perimeter. The note pulls out from the top from a slit. And speaking of Martha...Love the felt pillow project she has on her site right now!

I would love to try and make some. Or to have those would be great too lol!

Dialogue -Rated: PG-13

So what has been going on here lately... of course hanging out with the little guys and Kody is now officially a Boy Scout! Can I say exited???? He is over the moon. He gives me the salute and tells me he is going to get so many badges that he won't know what to do with himself :) I'm glad he and his dad can use this time to bond. He takes him to all his meetings and such. DerRick was a Boy Scout when he was little so they can have this just for them.

Other news, Chris has been wheezy for the past month now. I was just thinking it would go away but no. He went to see a lung specialist today and what he found was the he had two things: ...ok...now that I'm trying to think of the medical names for them I'm at a loss. O man...well, I forgot the names but basically his voice box and his trachea do not have enough cartilage around them to support his breathing like normal. Like ok, I almost had a heart attack when he told me the x-rays were "almost" normal. I was seriously going to tell DerRick to stay behind in case I fell. I was so scared. But the doctor took great care in explaining all the details of what was happening with Chris. He even showed us the x-rays. His conditions are something he should grow out of by about 1 year or before. He will go in for a bronchoscopy next month just to be sure there isn't anything overlooked. All in all my little guy will be fine. I mean hello???

So yeah. Don't kids say the darndest things? And Kody always seems to remind me of that fact too ^_^ He came in the kitchen to tell me this one thing. And I must say it took all my worries away for a while...

...like seriously? What in the WORLD was I suppose to say to that? First I had to have a talk with him about the 'F' word. and now this? I was seriously laughing to myself thinking this is going to be one interesting journey with this little guy.

toothless + grins

So I mentioned in my last post that Kody had lost his first tooth. And yeah, it was pretty much yanked out b one of his sisters. Needless to say I felt SO bad for him. I mean, what a way to have your first tooth come out right? But he eventually embraced the idea of having lost a tooth and now he feels super cool!

 

 

I was so pleased to see that the school make the kids feel special when this does happen. Although the whole yanking of the hard plastic toy out of his mouth was on a Thursday, it was Friday at school (while he was doing the Chicken Dance) when it actually came out. And Kody came home with a cute little case a sticker sheet and a cute story about loosing his first tooth. I thought that was really neat :) So yeah, he elected not to put it under the pillow because then he wouldn't have his tooth anymore lol! I'm like however you want to play it buddy ^_^

So just a little bit ago I was relaxing with my little ones. And Kayson was so in the mood to play...

I was taking my hand and brushing it over his hair making a 'swoosh' sound. He loved it! So I scurried to get my camera. I couldn't help it I mean hello????

At that very moment Chris was doing what he does most of the time any kind of action is going on...

kayson and me?

Well, many of you know by now that I am super shy when it comes to showing my face on my blog. I don't know how you all do it lol! I need pampering in the biggest of ways let me tell ya. The hair done, a massage, a pedicure would be cool too. But that spray they had last time HURT like you would NOT believe. I think it was fire in a bottle!  But anyway...I can't hide forever so I'm stopping by to say...

 

and you know something? I'm here with just the boys! First real day like this. DerRick has been hanging out at the house since Monday well after lunch so I've always had him here. I dropped the kids off at school today and said to myself "Why not?".......

 

Oh yeah, now this is rare as well. I had coffee once when I was pregnant. (i thought it would give me a boost to clean lol) Today I just felt like one. Ok...is it silly, me talking about coffee like this? I was going to go on but I thing I will digress lol!!!!!

So, the boys and me. Well, shall I say boy and me. Chris is pooped out. Still sleeping. But while Kayson was awake I thought we could spend some time playing with Photobooth for a little bit :)

 

yeah, he got me on that last frame. ha HAAA! He was feeling sleepy here I think. Because soon after he was down for the count. Lately he's been all smiles

Now I'm here in the house...so quiet... I suppose I can make some cereal. ^_^ But seriously. This feels super strange. No noise at all? Wow...this is going to get some getting used to. And then of course there is always Jem tunes!!!! Oh, come on...you know how I roll lol!!! I had them on last night as I was working off-and-on on this painting

 

I would have cropped her so you can see it better but alas. Mr. No Scratch Disc man showed is ugly head once again! Arg.

But nothing can ruin my high. And It's not because of the coffee either. DerRick is now a SSGT (Staff Sargent)!!!  Congrats honey buns! 

Well, I think I will get some of that cereal :)

coming soon and the first day + kit news

hello everyone! Man o the freak man...it been super hectic. A good hectic but if you call not being able to eat anything but an 11 pm dinner a good hectic then yeah. That's my life right now lol! Today was the first day I actually felt exhausted. Not even kidding you. Check this out. Ok...so like the boys wake up at the same time right? I go to to make them each a bottle. I shake them up. Then I take the top off of one of the bottles and go to feed it to Chris. Um? Hello? Milk spilled all over the little dude!!!! I looked at him. Delayed and stunned for a few seconds like holy mac...I need a nap lol! But yeah, he didn't mind one bit. Speaking of...the boys got a HEP-B shot yesterday.

 

They were both asleep when they were given the shot Both whimpered for like 3 seconds (with their eyes closed) and then fell back asleep. Aw...gotta love the way of the baby! 

These past couple of days have been all about that doctor visit and school.

Yeah, Chloe' would NOT smile for the life of her lol! But that's ok :) They were so exited to go. They are super independent. I just know they will be running the joint in no time ha haaaa!

 

Kody got to back to his old school. All that calling worked! They didn't forget us hu? lol!!!! But yeah, he was ready too. His main thing was making new friends and reading. This boy LOVES to read :)

Kody went right to his seat and started coloring.

 

The girls sat down on the carpet and played with blocks. I said "see you later" to Kody and I got a kiss :) I said "see you later" to the girls and I got nothing. They could care less if I left or not lol! You just never know ^_^

Yay! I will be starting Online Workshops in October! I'm really exited about this because I'm eager to show you all in depth how I put things together! I hope you guys enjoy! Hey!

What's happening guys?! Plenty over here I tell ya. It's been ages since I posted. Oh the cruelty! But considering my track record over the years it's not super surprising lol! So much has been going on over here it's madness! It's been busy. Appointments up the ying-yang and baby-ness ^_^ You guys...I'm so happy. Simple as that. Like I'm so in love and so happy and so very thankful. I'm not thrilled about not sleeping at nights but every other thing is bliss ^_^

Scrap wise I'm drooling. Dude, I'm so ready to get back to it and have not had a minuet to devote to anything :( But in time it will all come. For right now I'm just enjoying our day-to-day. Taking it all in because this is it. The Dudley 7. Never to be 8 or 9 for that matter lol! So yeah...

The boys. They are SO different! Already going their own ways.Chris...

...he's the feisty one! Our little fortune cookie. Oh yeah man, he's a go getter. Wide eyed and always ready to play :)

^_^ yeah, he's my buddy. I call our times that we play together our 'hangout' times. I'm always asking him "you wanna hangout?" If he falls asleep on me then the answer is no lol!!!

Then there is my little burrito con carne, Kayson.

This little dude is my mellow fellow. A personality so smooth and relaxed. I seriously can't stop kissing those cheeks. And he let's me anytime :) But beware, when this one wants something he will let you know but good. DerRick says he goes into Hulk mode. Not far off a description but even in that mode he's super cute ^_^ The crazy thing is he has a grin on his face when he sleeps. My mom does the same thing :)

The kids are having a ball. Sometimes they try to help too much lol! It's ok though. They always are wanting to assist us with them and love on them... So I'm thankful for that :) I'm itching to take pictures of everyone together :)

Whew...would you believe I started this post over two hours ago? Yeah I'm not sure when I will be able to click 'publish' but I'm shooting for before 12 am lol!!!! It has been a challenge. Getting used to the new family dynamic has been pretty interesting but a surprisingly fast process. It didn't take me long to get a new flow going at all so that's good. It's going out in public that's trippy. Just going to the store together is a major event. We walk 5 steps and are stopped. Another 10 steps and we are stopped again. It's pretty cool to see peoples faces change from the look of awe at the boys being twins to the face of shock realizing the girls are twins too! Then they look at Kody and ask him how he does it lol! We went to Applebees last weekend and it went A-Ok! We all got to eat in peace. Chris woke up and I fed him while I ate. No big deal, almost like we've done it forever. 

One thing about the boys that I find super different is the fact that they don't feel the need to be together most of the time. They are rarely together. They don't particularly like sleeping together. I remember the girls were stuck like glue! These boys are so individual. It's really neat to see. So yeah. I did put them together here though...
