Well, last night I couldn't keep my mind off my new book obsession...Twilight. I read it until 1 in the morning. I was at a particular part in the book where it made me blush and feel all gitty. DerRick walks in and asked me what I'm up to and I'm like nnnnnoooooooothing.......smiling from ear to ear like we were dating all over again and he had just asked me the most embarrassing question of my life. It was so silly. I get totally into books...love going to different worlds. So...I'm anticipating parts of it already. I'm waiting for the blood ^------^
After getting back from Chicago I've been anticipating scraping. Yeah it was totally fun meeting people (most honestly had no idea who I was lol) and to be able to see the product yet to come out. But it was deeper than that. The vendors/companies put so much time and effort into the booths, the catalogs, the...everything. I've always been the type to dwell on the 'behind-the-scenes' happenings. Like, I see all the great stuff but constantly wonder what goes into getting it that way. I mean, you don't just transport the most awesome looking scraproom to a convention hall with a snap of a finger. It takes a team. It takes vision. It's over my head really. And I really was honored to be a minute fraction of it all. Even though I'm just a DT member I've come to realize that I have a very important roll. It's easy for me to be at home and never see anyone in real life. Think my stuff is not making a dent anywhere. That the manufacture that collects the emailed images of my layouts along with the other DT's work just says a thank you and moves on to more important things. But no...now that I went and saw for myself what it means...that we are an important asset and they appreciate us...I was like whoa. I always downplay in fear of drowning you guys out in DT-ness. But I have to say that I'm really thankful and I need to get over being so shy lol! I want to do my 'job' well...I'm exited about it. I can't wait to show you how beautiful everything is ^------^ I hope you guys can understand. So, with that said.........tomorrow is the day I scrap. Today is Twilight day Ha HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
Yeah...no creations to show you but I will have a tip up on OLW later on today! And I thought I would show you some pics of the City when Vee and I took the trains + buses from day 'till night.
O man...was not looking forward to this. ...............at all :)
Gotta love it. But ya know? As much as I see people enjoying their iPods I still don't have one. Never thought to get one. I feel so not-in-the-know. But I guess that's not as bad as not having TiVo. Yeah...don't have that either lol!
I loved the different textures at the train stations.
Joscie enjoying some wine with friends. She had a nice time :)
The window of The Paper Source store | downtown Chicago.
The table at Chili's | Chicago O'Hare Air Port
The 'magnificent' Bean | Millennium Park.
o...and check this mess out. My brother, Matt, was in Chicago at the same time and I didn't even know it!!!!!!!! How ironic is that???? He added me to his Facebook yesterday so it's a happy day! ...redemption. Off to engross myself in my book. Let the blood flo :)

Is it bad that I recognized the chili's table tiles before I even read that was from chili's? That's my kid's FAVORITE place to eat.
