Well, today's another day. No napping yet lol! DerRick went to work today just to find out that he didn't have to work. I was shocked! He usually has to work Saturday's too so this was like a huge thing. But yeah...I went to the store and was watching what I bought more closely. Prices are out-of-control!!!!! I usually get the 16oz Kraft block cheese without a second thought. Now??? Shoot just for that one block it's $5.88!!! I'm like WHOA! I ended up getting the 8oz instead :)
On a more scrappy note. Last post I showed a sneak peek of a layout I did for The Design Experiment. Here's what it 'really' looks like lol!
27-200
The topic was to tell the good the bad and the ugly. Looking back at what I did I so totally didn't follow the directions lol!!!! I basically stated the bad and that's it. I was ready to talk about this. I was ready to get it down on paper how I felt about my weight. And really not just that but how different my mind set is now than it was back when I was athletic. It's almost like I let myself down. It sucks so much I can't even explain. Then it's funny how people say..." well just go out and exercise" On one hand I'm in total agreement. I mean it's really just that simple right? WRONG. It's way more complex...annoyingly complex. If it was just that simple than everyone would be skinny. But anyhoo...enough of that. I hope you go check out their site and look at what the dt created. Very inspirational. And maybe you will do this challenge as well. Even if it will stay privately in a scrapbook. It's a good thing to let it out. I like this layout because everything is symbolic: the butterfly, the glass, the vellum and scrap piece of paper behind the photo.

I created the layout on/within a piece of Plexiglas. I cute out a window and hung my picture from the frame with jump rings. Then I added ribbon, rub-ons and a butterfly to the sides. The smaller piece of Plexiglas is also attached with jump rings and I added rub-ons for the title. I find that the thinner Plexiglas works well with mini's and pages. I get mine from Hobby Lobby and it comes it multiple sizes.
I also made this little mini yesterday.
it's a girl thing
This was a bit of an experiment. I wanted to see how I could make the whole journal a scalloped one using The Paper Gator. It turned out alright. I couldn't get the pages to be perfectly lined....yet lol!!! But yeah, the covers are canvas board that I decorated with wax and scrap stuff :) I worked with pink ( which is a very rare thing ) ... made it for my girls ^-----^ I realized pink really isn't a bad thing. It's rather nice! Looking forward to getting to know it better :)
