  • "We ran like young wild furies, where angels feared to tread. The woods were dark and deep. Before us demons fled. We checked Coke bottle bottoms to see how far was far. Our worlds of magic wonder were never reached by car. We loved our dogs like brothers. our bikes like rocket ships. We were going to the stars, to Mars we'd make round trips. We swung on vines like Tarzan, and flashed Zorro's keen blade. We were James Bond in his Aston, we were Hercules unchained. We looked up to the future and we saw a distant land, where folks were always ageless, and time was shifting sand. We filled up life with living, with grins, scabbed knees, and noise. In glass I see an older man, but this book's for the boys. -Robert McCammon, Boy's Life

cha-da!

Hey guys! I had a very good time at CHA! I got to spend time with my girl Vee, met blog sistas, made new friends and saw some cool new scrap stuff that will be in stores soon. So much to tell and like no way to get it all in. Here are some pics of our time in Chicago.

Chajoscie

Flat Joscie had a good ol' time! Here she is workin' it in front of Vee's LV purse. (sure wish that sucker was mine lol!)

Chaclick

You know we had to get the mirror shot :) It's tradition ^------^.

Cha1

hmmmm...I am in LOVE with the Sassafrass papers!!!!! They had so many gorgeous papers...like wow....

Cha2

Here's K&Company with some beautiful butterfly punch-outs. I'm really into butterflies and these stopped me in my tracks.

Cha3

So this is just .0000001% of the fabulousness Jenni Bowlin had to show off. I pretty much loved everything she had. I never really knew that much about her stuff and am now wanting it all ^----^ Her style fits the way I roll...love it!

Cha4

Another booth where there was too much good stuff to take it all in. 7Gypsies didn't disappoint. They took their classics and put new spins on them....just stunning.

Cha5

Another company I can't remember the name of. It's crazy how you go strait to looking at the papers n' things but don't look up to see where they come from lol! But yes...pretty papers, very pretty.

Chalooksfamiliar

Those kids look familiar ^---------^ Hangin' out at the October Afternoon booth. They have two new lines that are so freakin' cool! I'll have to dive in soon and show you what they can do :)

Chamorgen

I'm so glad I got to know Morgan. I met her through Vee and we all had a good time throughout our stay at CHA. They both lured me to the dark side...I got the book Twilight at the airport. I just couldn't resist. It's sooo good...I'm hooked. :)

Chafriends_2

Ok...so I was over the moon when I finally go to meet my girls from All Moments Remembered, Stacy and Heather. They are DOLLS!!!! And then I had the most wonderful and yet bizarre moment when meeting Ali. All i can say is that I took one look into her face and balled like a newborn baby. Oh yes...I admit it. I couldn't help myself. My heart was beating so hard and fast I thought I was going to have a freakin' heart attack. And instead of joining in on the conversation that was taking place...I was stone still holding on to my chest. I had that same silly smile on my face the whole time like I was going to POP any moment! Dude...I bombed. I wanted to at least say hi. But yeah. She was way too cool. she didn't make me feel like the dork that I was so thank you Ali :) I hope to meet you again and um??? Maybe we can chat some yes? lol!!!!

Oh man...so the rest was history. Dinner with friends, the 2Peas social ( I won two prises :), our time in the city, beer and visiting The Paper Source. One of those most memorable moments was meeting Lisa and Christine from Crate Paper. I was overwhelmed by how charming they were as people. O man...I can't even explain. But their products were on everyones lips. They're beautiful. I can't wait to show you. And Loni...I know I will meet you someday!

So yeah...
